So the fridge sounds like it is running, but it isn't getting cold? Can you tell if the compressor is constantly running or does it sound like just a fan is going?

The bad part is that the can fridge insides are a pain to access because everything is mounted to the metal plate on the bottom.

I have it apart right now and everything is running (fan and compressor)

**edit** put my hand on the compressor and it is running until the click happens then it stops...just keeps repeating.

You are in luck. This should be an easy fix. From what are you describing I can almost guarantee you have a bad compressor overload switch. It is the small round cylinder that mounts up against the compressor wall. It shuts the compressor off when it gets too hot, but when it goes bad it will shut the compressor off way too often. See here for a replacement.

Just be careful not to crimp any of the copper lines while you are working on it!

Sounds good!! the part that is butted up against the compressor wall looks nothing like that piece (its a square black block) would that piece be inside of it?

That is the compressor relay. There should be a round piece up against the compressor somewhere. Is it around the other side somewhere?

That is weird. I haven't seen one of these fridges that didn't have an overload switch on it. I have the same model fridge so I'll take a look at mine and see if mine has one. Maybe it is incorporated into the relay switch somehow on this fridge.

Well I wouldn't trash it quite yet if I were you. I took a look at my fridge and couldn't really see anything to help you out. I would try replacing the compressor relay and maybe even the thermostat if you are really dedicated to getting the thing working again. What is your thermostat setting at right now? The hard part will be finding replacement parts. I would try calling Crystal Cooler to see if they will sell you any parts for the fridge. Worst case if you decide to part it out this guy here was looking for a replacement lid not too long ago.

Did you ever get this thing running? I'm pretty sure the overload switch is built into the relay on this fridge. If you pull that piece off and post a pic of it I might have a replacement source for you.
