sc-1 not cooling enough... any help appreciated. Empty sc-1 not cooling enough... any help appreciated.

I have just purchased an sc-1 red bull fridge. Looked cold but not enough when i got home with temp gauge. It cools only to 50, back plate gets frost, compressor never shuts off and is hot to touch. there is a knob on back looks to be a temp controller but does nothing when turned in either direction and feels kinda loose to the touch when turning. Hope to get a cheap fix but believe i got taken........
